Our client was looking to optimize their web presence for their individual locations in their local markets. The client already had some respectable rankings when they contacted Intelus but weren't ranked in the Top 10 for several important keywords in their most important service categories. Their goals were to get more traffic by ranking for more highly searched terms and recover the traffic and Google rankings they had previously lost due to penalties for unnatural inbound links a previous agency created.
The first step to recover what they lost was for us to execute a deep analysis on their current backlink profile. During this process, we identified a large amount of links that had been built into the site using low quality blackhat spam tactics.
Next, we developed a detailed strategy by researching the most searched key phrases and analyzing their direct competitors. Our on-page SEO strategy targeted providing users more keyword rich hyper local content and enhanced navigation so that the Google could see each location page was extremely relevant to the keywords we targeted.

Based on our research, a strategy included geo-targeting, Google Adwords and retargeting – both from a state and nationwide level were implemented. Due to the traditional nature of the automotive repair industry we discovered that a large number of their leads happened via phone calls to the local repair centers. We worked closely with the client to implement a call tracking solution to track phone calls to their individual keywords.
A large amount of testing and optimization was executed to the point where the account was built up to over 130 campaigns and well over 10,000 keywords being managed.
